The Avaya UC platform is productivity focused allowing communications tools to work together. The Avaya Flare™ Experience uses the same interface to collaborate real-time across all your tools, including desktop video, social media, conferencing, and more.

Avaya Unified Communications solutions components can be purchased as separate components or in bundled solution sets. In addition, Avaya does not require that customers have the Avaya Communication Manager.  Avaya Unified Communications solutions run on many standard SIP-based third party telephony solutions.

Avaya one-X® Communicator

This software client can be deployed on desktop or laptop computers running either Microsoft® Windows or Apple® Mac operating system and is ideal for users who communicate frequently, manage multiple calls, set up ad-hoc conferencing, and need to be highly reachable. The solution provides users with anytime; anywhere access to unified communications capabilities including voice calling, audio conferencing, corporate directories, and communication logs.

On Microsoft ® Windows platforms, one-X Communicator provides additional capabilities including intelligent presence, instant messaging, high-definition point-to-point video calling, and video conferencing. It can allow organizations to integrate with other desktop productivity tools like Microsoft® Office Communicator.

When one-X Communicator is integrated with Avaya one-X® Client Enablement Services, users have access to a broader range of unified communications capabilities including visual voice mail, conference bridge control, and synchronized call logs and contacts. Support for both H.323 and SIP end-points is available and can be deployed under specified configuration options.

Avaya Instant Messaging/Presence

Aura Presence Services offers an open standards-based, native instant messaging with federated presence for IBM Lotus Sametime, and IM and Presence across Microsoft, IBM, Avaya one-X Communicator, Avaya one-X Agent and Avaya 9600 SIP phones.

The Avaya Flare® Experience leverages the SIP-based Avaya Aura® communications platform to deliver improved real-time, multi-session and multi-modal communications to the desktop. Users communicate and collaborate without regard to type of network or how to access that network.
